This year marked tremendous progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and computing. New technologies transformed various sectors, enhancing the way we interact with devices and systems.
In February, Google unveiled Bard, an AI tool designed for creative exploration. Bard generates text, translates languages, and engages users in conversation with astonishing speed. Users can access multilingual capabilities, making Bard available in over 40 languages globally.
Furthermore, in May, tech enthusiasts celebrated the debut of PaLM 2, Google’s advanced language model. This model improved reasoning tasks through better datasets and architecture. Consequently, it integrated seamlessly into Google products. For instance, the Search Generative Experience redefined interactions, shifting from standard information retrieval to a more conversational model.
