Hitman World of Assassination Expands to iOS and Tabletop Games
This summer, gamers can take Hitman on the go. IO Interactive announced that the Hitman trilogy, known as Hitman World of Assassination, will be available on iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers. The announcement came during the Summer Game Fest 2025, celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
Veronique Lallier, IO Interactive’s Chief Development Officer, highlighted the convenience. “You can travel the world with Hitman in your pocket,” she said. Attendees at the event even experienced the game running natively on iOS.
In addition, Hitman is branching into tabletop gaming. IO Interactive has partnered with Mood Publishing to create a Hitman board game. This game will launch on Kickstarter later this year. Up to four players can play as assassins targeting a single mark. The first player to eliminate the target will earn the victory.
Moreover, excitement builds around the introduction of a new Elusive Target: Le Chiffre, the villain from Casino Royale. Mads Mikkelsen lends his likeness and voice to this character. Players will only have a limited time to complete this mission, as Elusive Targets appear just once.
Lastly, fans of the franchise can look forward to IO Interactive’s upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, set to release in 2026. Successfully completing the mission with Le Chiffre unlocks an exclusive suit in this future game.
