Subaru debuted its first three-row electric SUV, called the Getaway, at the New York International Auto Show. However, charging speed is modest, with an estimated 150kW system that can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.
The first models will arrive late this year. These will have a 95.8kWh battery, offering over 300 miles of range on a single charge. With a zero-to-60 time of under five seconds, it’s quick enough for city streets and longer trips. Additionally, Subaru plans a smaller 77kWh battery version early next year, with slightly less range but more options for urban drivers.
