Solana and Google Cloud Partner on Stablecoin Payments for AI

New Payment System for AI Agents
Recently, Solana and Google Cloud announced a new project called Pay.sh. This platform lets AI programs pay for online services using stablecoins on Solana. Developers can connect their Solana wallets to popular AI tools like Gemini and Claude Code. Within just one minute, an AI agent can access paid APIs. This reduces the need for human help in managing accounts and billing. The system works as a secure, quick payment gateway built on Google Cloud. It allows AI agents to discover and buy API services independently. This development aims to make AI payments more transparent and legitimize the market for machine-to-machine transactions.

    Open-Source Platform and Marketplaces
Pay.sh offers more than just payments. It features a marketplace where AI agents can find over 50 services. These services include data analytics, e-commerce tools, and blockchain infrastructure. Developers can explore the platform’s open-source code and create their own features. Several partners, like PayAI and Moonpay, support this ecosystem. The platform also adheres to open standards, making it easier for other developers to join and build upon it. As the technology advances, more companies are working to enable autonomous AI payments. For instance, Coinbase is developing a similar marketplace called x402. Meanwhile, Google is expanding its efforts with its own crypto payment plans.
