Each year, students delve into a hands-on experience, planning and producing a professional-level fashion show. This initiative allows them to manage every aspect, from selecting featured designers to styling, marketing, and event planning. Consequently, students gain invaluable skills and connections that can help propel their careers in the fashion industry.
This year’s theme, "Timeless Threads," highlights the enduring nature of fashion. It focuses on classic silhouettes, recurring trends, upcycling, and sustainability. Moreover, the show will celebrate the idea of style that transcends time.
Featured designers include industry veterans and rising stars. Notably, Nicole Miller, recognized for popularizing the little black dress, serves as the presenting sponsor. She will mentor students throughout the event and present ten looks from her archives, highlighting classic glamour.
Mondo Guerra, the winner of the first season of "Project Runway All Stars," is also on the program. He has made a name for himself not only on the runway but also as a mentor on "Project Runway: Under the Gunn."
