NASA has awarded a significant contract to ASCEND Aerospace & Technology, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This contract, called the Contract for Organizing Spaceflight Mission Operations and Systems (COSMOS), aims to enhance mission operations at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Valued at $1.8 billion, COSMOS is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. It will initially run for five years, starting no earlier than December 1, with options for extension until 2034. ASCEND will collaborate with Aerodyne Company and Jacobs Technology Company, both based in Florida and Tennessee, respectively.
