During a showcase at PAX West 2025, I had the chance to demo the game. Set in a Paris-inspired Lumiose City, the story follows an emerging trainer navigating challenges and expanding their Pokémon team. A mysterious force drives some Pokémon into a frenzied state, complicating their journey.
One major innovation is the shift from turn-based combat to real-time action. This change brings an exhilarating dynamic to battles. In the demo, I engaged in various encounters where strategy and quick reflexes came into play.
