    Summary Points

    1. Not for Everyone: Windscribe’s unconventional design and fluctuating speeds make it unsuitable for some users, despite an attractive free plan and some loyal customers.

    2. Quick Cancellation Requirement: To secure a refund, users must cancel within seven days; this is shorter than most VPNs, emphasizing the need for prompt decision-making.

    3. Simple Cancellation Process: Users can easily disable automatic renewal through their account settings, but must resort to chatbot assistance for canceling static IP subscriptions or third-party orders.

    4. Account Deletion Challenges: Deleting a Windscribe account involves navigating a series of comedic prompts and confirmations, which can be frustrating for users wishing to erase their data.

How to Cancel Windscribe and Get Your Money Back

Windscribe offers a unique approach to VPN services. However, it isn’t for everyone. If you find Windscribe doesn’t meet your needs, canceling is straightforward.

First, don’t forget the money-back guarantee lasts only seven days. You must act quickly to qualify for a refund. If you paid for a subscription, cancel it before the week is up to get your money back.

To stop Windscribe Pro from renewing, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to windscribe.com and log into your account.
    2. Click “My Account” at the top of the page.
    3. Scroll down to the billing section and click “Cancel Subscription.”
    4. Enter your password and a reason for cancellation.
    5. Finally, click the “Cancel Subscription” button.

You will still have access to Windscribe Pro until the current billing period ends, after which you’ll revert to the free version.

For static IP subscriptions, you can’t cancel through the dashboard. Instead, ask the Garry chatbot for help by clicking the icon in the bottom-right corner of the website.

If you subscribed via a third party, like the Apple App Store or Google Play, that service manages cancellations. For Google Play users, open the app, tap your profile icon, and select “Payments & Subscriptions.” Find Windscribe, then cancel your subscription.

Apple users, access the Settings app, tap your name, select “Subscriptions,” find Windscribe, and then tap cancel.

If you decide Windscribe is no longer for you, here’s how to delete your account:

    1. Visit windscribe.com and log in.
    2. Click “My Account.”
    3. Scroll down and choose the “Give Up On Privacy” button.
    4. Navigate the quirky prompts to finalize your account deletion.

Remember, once you delete your account, you can’t sign up again with the same email.

For refunds, ensure you request one within seven days and limit your data usage to under 10GB. If you’re eligible, start a chat with the Garry chatbot to initiate the refund process.

Despite its drawbacks, such as an awkward interface and inconsistent speeds, Windscribe offers intriguing features. If it’s not for you, many alternatives exist, including Proton VPN and ExpressVPN. Explore your options to find a VPN that better suits your needs.
