    Top Highlights

    1. Design and Features: The Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic bridges the gap between the baseline Watch8 and the premium Watch Ultra, featuring a rotating bezel and a stylish design with contrasting stainless steel.

    2. Included Accessories: The watch comes with a magnetic wireless charging pad and a proprietary faux leather band, limiting the option for traditional 20mm band swaps.

    3. Display & Performance: Equipped with a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen, the Watch8 Classic maintains high visibility with 3,000 nits brightness, powered by the Exynos W1000 chip with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage.

    4. Battery Life: Samsung claims the 445mAh battery can last up to 40 hours (AoD off) or 30 hours (AoD on), with further testing planned for health and activity features.

Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic: A Step Forward in Smartwatch Design

Samsung’s latest offering, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, enters the smartwatch arena as a refined option between the standard Watch8 and the high-end Galaxy Watch Ultra. With its signature rotating bezel, this model retains popularity while enhancing functionality.

Unboxing reveals a simple setup. Inside the package, users find a magnetic wireless charging pad accompanied by a USB-C cable. The review unit presents a sophisticated Black finish, accented with stainless-steel elements, contributing to its elegant design. However, the proprietary faux leather band limits customization, diverging from earlier models that allowed for more flexibility.

The physical rotating bezel stands out. This tactile control provides a smooth user experience, making navigation intuitive. Additionally, the Quick button, shared with the Galaxy Watch Ultra, offers customizable shortcuts, increasing efficiency at your fingertips.

Despite its larger size, the 46mm Watch8 Classic features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, identical to the smaller 40mm Galaxy Watch8. The screen boasts Sapphire Glass protection and shines at a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight.

The watch runs on the powerful Exynos W1000 chip, supported by 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Samsung claims the 445mAh battery can provide up to 40 hours of usage with the Always-on Display (AoD) disabled and around 30 hours with it enabled. Upcoming tests will verify these battery life claims while assessing its health and activity features.

As urban environments evolve, technology like the Galaxy Watch8 Classic represents a vital part of smart city initiatives. Devices that promote connectivity and efficiency can enhance daily life, reflecting the continued innovation in wearable tech.
