T-Mobile Launches New Family-Focused Plan
T-Mobile kicked off the year by unveiling its new Better Value plan, designed specifically for families or groups with three or more lines. Launching on January 14, the plan offers a monthly cost of $140 with AutoPay for three lines. While marketed as a limited-time offer, company representatives confirm it currently has no set end date. This plan goes head-to-head with T-Mobile’s Essentials plan and their Experience More plan, which ranks highly among customers.
Importantly, both the Better Value and Experience More plans provide unlimited data on T-Mobile’s 5G network. They also include a five-year price guarantee and two-year device upgrades. However, the Better Value plan sets itself apart by offering 250GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data, well above the 60GB offered by Experience More. Additionally, it boasts increased international high-speed data options, with 30GB available in Mexico and Canada compared to 15GB with Experience More.
Who Should Consider the Better Value Plan?
Although the Better Value plan includes appealing features like streaming options and T-Satellite access, not everyone can take advantage of it. New customers must bring over at least two eligible lines from another carrier. Existing T-Mobile customers, meanwhile, need to have maintained their postpaid service for at least five years. This encourages both loyalty and group plans.
The Better Value plan also omits taxes and fees in its stated price, which may affect customers accustomed to more inclusive plans. Users can access the new plan through the T-Life app or T-Mobile’s website, with store employees guiding customers to online options. For families seeking a robust plan filled with features, the Better Value might prove beneficial. Yet, some customers may find the previous Essentials plan better suited for their needs.
