Issues With Chrome Installation on PCs: What You Need to Know

Users attempting to install Google Chrome on their Intel and AMD computers may face unexpected challenges. Reports indicate that the Chrome installer fails to open for many, causing frustration among eager downloaders.

This problem stems from a potential mix-up by Google. It appears that the company has mistakenly provided the Arm version of the installer to x64-based PCs. As a result, users encounter an error message stating, “This app can’t run on your PC.”

Fortunately, there are workarounds available. Some users have successfully installed Chrome by accessing an alternative Chrome link. Additionally, the offline installer seems to function correctly. To obtain the offline version, simply visit the Chrome website. Scroll to the bottom, navigate to the Chrome Family section, and select the appropriate file for your operating system, typically “Windows 11/10 64-bit.”

While this glitch may pose a setback, it’s essential to remember that technology often comes with hiccups. Google has yet to respond to inquiries about the issue, but many are hopeful for a swift resolution.

Staying updated can help you navigate such challenges in the tech landscape.
