    Fast Facts

    1. Game Removals: Netflix is removing over 20 games from its library, including celebrated titles like Hades and the entire Monument Valley series, all set to leave in July.

    2. Studio Closure Impact: This decision follows the closure of Netflix’s AAA gaming studio in October, indicating struggles within its gaming division.

    3. Limited Time: Players have until July to enjoy these titles, with specific departure dates varying for each game; for example, Hades will be gone by July 1.

    4. Reduced Interactive Content: Netflix has significantly cut back on interactive content, shrinking its offerings from 24 to just four by the end of last year.

Netflix to Remove Over 20 Games, Including Fan Favorites

Netflix is downsizing its gaming library once again. The streaming giant plans to remove more than 20 games, impacting popular titles like Hades and all three Monument Valley games. This decision comes after the closure of Netflix’s AAA gaming studio last October.

Players have a limited time to enjoy these games. Notably, Hades will be unavailable starting July 1, while Death’s Door remains playable until July 14. This shift highlights Netflix’s ongoing challenges in the gaming sector.

The removal doesn’t stop at big titles. Other games on the chopping block include Braid: Anniversary Edition, Carmen Sandiego, and LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed. Viewers can check the specific departure dates for their favorites on the Netflix mobile app.

Additionally, Netflix has scaled back its interactive content. Last year, it reduced its offerings from 24 games to just four. Among the survivors, Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch was a hit, but it too left the platform in May.

Despite these changes, Netflix’s focus on gaming shows an interest in diversifying its content. The move may streamline operations, but it raises questions about the future of interactive entertainment on the platform.

For fans of these games, the clock is ticking. Players should dive in quickly to experience these titles before they vanish.
