These include the Human Research Program, the International Space Station Program, the Commercial Crew Program, and the Artemis campaign. Specifically, the contract aims to ensure crew health, safety, and performance. Additionally, it will focus on occupational health services and vital research to mitigate risks for future space crews.

    The Human Health and Performance Directorate takes the lead in safeguarding astronaut health and improving mission performance.
