Municipal Commissioner G. Shreekant officiated the launch. The facility will save the city between Rs 3–4 lakh monthly, making financial management easier. Currently, the depot uses approximately 1.5 lakh liters of diesel each month, underscoring the impact of this new resource. All procedures and permits came from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), ensuring no additional costs for the city.
