Samsung Shares Toughness of Galaxy Z TriFold

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, showcasing its unique design in a new video. This smartphone features a triple-stage folding capability that many tech enthusiasts find intriguing.

The company claims the TriFold can endure 100 folds a day for up to five years. This translates to 200,000 folds, a significant achievement for a foldable device. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rated for 500,000 folds, highlighting a difference due to the TriFold’s more complex engineering.

Samsung emphasized its innovative manufacturing process. The video reveals how the company utilized two Armor Flex Hinges for increased stability. Advanced bonding technology helps create a flatter display surface. Controlled pressure during assembly strengthens the entire structure.

Additionally, Samsung conducted extensive durability trials to ensure quality. These tests focused on maintaining smooth folding and structural integrity. Such measures aim to reassure potential users about the phone’s longevity.

The Galaxy Z TriFold unfolds into a sizable 10-inch tablet, measuring just 3.9mm at its thinnest point. It runs on a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, offers a 200MP camera, and boasts Samsung’s largest foldable battery at 5,600mAh. The device supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, adding to its appeal.

Enhanced features include tri-window multitasking and standalone Samsung DeX. The TriFold enables up to four virtual workspaces and has an auto-alarm system that alerts users if they fold it incorrectly.

Marked as Samsung’s most ambitious hardware release, the Galaxy Z TriFold will launch in Korea on December 12, 2025. It will become available in the U.S. early in 2026, with a starting price expected around $2,443 for the 16GB/512GB variant.

As the foldable smartphone market evolves, the Galaxy Z TriFold paves the way for innovative experiences. Samsung continues to push boundaries with technology that excites users while ensuring durability and functionality.
