    Quick Takeaways

    1. Successful Launches: SpaceX completed three Falcon 9 launches in February 2026, deploying a total of 83 new Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.

    2. Booster Milestones: All boosters successfully returned to their ocean-based drone ships, with notable milestones including the completion of 30 missions for one booster and 11 for another.

    3. Expanded Network: With these launches, the Starlink network grows to over 9,850 satellites, enhancing global internet accessibility in underserved areas.

    4. Continued Commitment: This marks SpaceX’s 25th Falcon 9 mission of 2026, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to low Earth orbit satellite deployment and global connectivity.

February Finale: SpaceX Wraps Up Month with Three Starlink Launches

SpaceX closed February with three successful Starlink satellite launches. This marked a significant achievement for the company, which aims to expand its satellite broadband network.

On Tuesday, February 24, a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying 29 satellites into low Earth orbit at 6:04 p.m. EST. The next day, another Falcon 9 launched 25 more Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 9:17 a.m. EST. Finally, on Friday, February 27, a third Falcon 9 rocket sent 29 additional satellites into space at 7:16 a.m. EST.

All three launches met their goals. SpaceX confirmed the successful deployment of satellites from Groups 6-110, 17-26, and 6-108. Furthermore, each Falcon 9’s first stage returned safely to Earth. The Tuesday mission’s booster completed its 10th flight, landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic. The Wednesday booster marked its 11th flight, landing in the Pacific. The Friday booster achieved its 30th mission, returning to an Atlantic drone ship.

With these launches, the Starlink network now includes over 9,850 satellites in orbit. This extensive constellation brings internet access to underserved regions around the world. In particular, Starlink offers connectivity where traditional options are limited or unavailable. It also supports cell-to-satellite communication for selected carriers and provides in-flight wifi for some airlines.

This week’s efforts highlight SpaceX’s commitment to evolving technology in the satellite internet sector, improving global access to vital online services. As Starlink grows, it paves the way for advancements in communication technology, positively impacting lives worldwide.
