    2. Users can access SongDNA in the Now Playing view by scrolling down, which highlights the creative contributors, samples, interpolations, and inspired covers of a song.
    3. The feature allows fans to explore profiles of collaborators and see their other work, fostering greater appreciation and connection within the music ecosystem.
    4. Currently in beta and rolling out globally to paying iOS and Android users, SongDNA aims to expand support and capabilities, with broader availability for Premium users in April.

Spotify is introducing a new feature called SongDNA, which enhances how listeners explore music. When you play a song, you can open the Now Playing view and scroll down to find the SongDNA box. This feature reveals all the artists, writers, producers, and collaborators behind your favorite tracks.

Moreover, SongDNA offers detailed insights into a song’s creation. It shows samples and interpolations that shaped the sound, as well as covers that inspired the track. Spotify believes this makes music more discoverable, as users can tap on profiles of those involved to explore their other work.

According to Jacqueline Ankner, Head of Songwriter & Publisher Partnerships, SongDNA aims to make a song’s creative history clearer. She explains that it helps fans understand the influences and people behind each tune. This transparency fosters a deeper appreciation for the art and promotes recognition for creators.

Although SongDNA is currently in beta, it will expand gradually. It is rolling out to paying iOS and Android users around the world in the coming weeks. Spotify intends to support more tracks as artists and labels review and manage the feature. As a result, music lovers can look forward to discovering new connections and stories behind the songs they enjoy.
