    Top Highlights

    1. BMW has introduced a redesigned 7-series available in gas, hybrid, and fully electric models, emphasizing a unified exterior aesthetic with modern tech features.
    2. The new i7 variants boast substantial upgrades, including larger batteries, faster charging (up to 250kW), extended range (over 350 miles), and futuristic design elements like illuminated grilles and extended taillights.
    3. Interior advancements include numerous displays (up to seven), a massive 31-inch 8K theater screen, high-end sound systems, and innovative tech like “shy tech” controls and a passenger display, reflecting BMW’s Neue Klasse design language.
    4. Priced starting at $105,750, the i7 offers cutting-edge luxury and technology, positioning BMW as a formidable contender in the rapidly shrinking big, fancy executive EV sedan market.

The upcoming 2027 BMW i7 has everyone talking. With a fresh look and plenty of new tech, it’s truly a luxury car for the top 1 percent. Although BMW unveiled a gas-powered model due to restrictions, the electric version shares most features, making them almost identical on the outside. This smooth design helps BMW keep a consistent family look, whether you choose petrol or electric.

The i7 offers three trims, with the most powerful being the M70 xDrive, which delivers up to 680 horsepower. Prices start at around $105,750, and the vehicle boasts a larger battery—112.4 kWh—that supports faster charging speeds. BMW claims the i760 model can deliver more than 350 miles of range on a single charge, which is a big advantage for drivers who dislike frequent stops to recharge.

On the outside, BMW has extended the taillights to span nearly the entire back of the car, giving it a modern, eye-catching look. The front grille features built-in lighting and active aerodynamics, and new razor-thin headlights display 24 crystal LEDs, creating a striking, gem-like appearance.

Inside, the i7 is packed with advanced displays. The centerpiece is a 17.9-inch main screen, combined with a projector-style Panoramic Vision display that acts as a head-up display. Additionally, a new passenger screen provides independent entertainment, making long trips more enjoyable for everyone.

BMW also redesigned the steering wheel with “shy tech” controls, which only light up when active and provide tactile feedback. The interior offers luxurious touches like executive seating with a footrest, and a massive 31-inch 8K theater screen, which is the largest in a production car today. This screen, mounted from the ceiling and featuring onboard Wi-Fi for video calls and gaming, enhances the overall experience. For audio lovers, a 36-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system delivers a powerful 4,000-watt output, filling the cabin with rich sound.

The car’s futuristic design isn’t just about looks. It reflects the rise of smart vehicles and innovative urban solutions. As cities grow smarter, such vehicles can support efficient, tech-driven lifestyles. They also pave the way for cleaner, quieter streets, since electric cars like the i7 produce no tailpipe emissions.

Overall, BMW’s new i7 combines luxury, technology, and futuristic design. While the price is high, it certainly sets a new standard for what a modern, high-end electric vehicle can be. For those who can afford it, this car symbolizes a move toward smarter cities and more innovative urban transport.
