    Quick Takeaways

    1. Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress returns November 3–5, connecting Europe’s digital security ecosystem.
    2. 111 exhibitors and 150+ experts tackle AI threats, resilience, trust, and security.
    3. Spain recorded 122,223 cyber incidents in 2025—a 26% increase.
    4. Awards spotlight 28 finalists advancing cybersecurity leadership, innovation, infrastructure, and talent.

    AI raises the stakes

Artificial intelligence can help security teams spot threats faster. It can also help attackers create more convincing scams and adapt their methods. That tension will shape the seventh Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, set for Nov. 3-5 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

The need is clear. Spain’s cybersecurity agency recorded 122,223 incidents in 2025, up 26% from the year before. In Catalonia, officials managed 6,544 incidents and detected more than 9.1 billion attempted attacks. More than 7 billion were blocked automatically.

From digital risk to daily life

The congress will examine how businesses, public services and critical infrastructure can withstand attacks. Its agenda includes AI, digital identity, supply chains and cyber-physical systems. These topics can seem distant, but the stakes are familiar: a compromised account, disrupted payment system or service outage can affect daily routines and public trust.

At the same time, stronger defenses can support safer digital services. The challenge is to use AI’s speed and scale without overlooking privacy, human judgment or the risk of new vulnerabilities.

    Sharing practical solutions

Organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya, the event will bring together more than 150 speakers. Its exhibition will feature 111 companies and 34 sponsors. Sessions will connect public agencies, researchers and businesses, while awards will recognize work in areas such as innovation, infrastructure protection and security culture.

That exchange matters. No single organization can secure an interconnected system alone. By sharing lessons and building partnerships, participants can turn research and planning into practical safeguards—helping protect the services people rely on every day.
