    Top Highlights

    1. HMD launched the HMD Amped Buds, featuring a charging case that doubles as a 1,600mAh battery bank with reverse wireless charging capabilities.
    2. The earbuds offer premium features including Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), EQ controls, and Environmental Noise Cancellation for enhanced call quality.
    3. HMD introduced the Fusion X1, a smartphone for kids that includes enhanced parental controls, a 108MP camera, and a subscription service for safe internet access.
    4. Three retro-style dumbphones were announced, focusing on durability and long battery life, although pricing and availability details remain undisclosed.

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC), HMD Global unveiled the HMD Amped Buds, a new set of wireless earbuds that stand out from the competition. Unlike traditional compact charging cases, the Amped Buds come with a rectangular charging case designed to double as a portable battery bank.

This innovative case houses a robust 1,600mAh battery, allowing users to recharge their phones in a pinch. It connects magnetically to smartphones, similar to other Qi-enabled chargers, making it a game-changer for those on the go. This feature could prove invaluable in urban environments where convenience is key.

In addition to their unique charging capabilities, the HMD Amped Buds boast premium audio features. They provide Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to block out distractions, while an equalizer in the companion apps lets users tailor their sonic experience. Moreover, the earbuds feature Environmental Noise Cancellation, enhancing call quality even in bustling locations.

HMD’s introduction of these earbuds comes alongside the launch of the Fusion X1 smartphone for kids, emphasizing the company’s commitment to tech innovation. The smartphone aims to facilitate parental control with features like location tracking and an SOS calling function, further underscoring HMD’s push for safer, user-friendly devices.

While HMD has yet to announce pricing and availability details, the Amped Buds demonstrate a forward-thinking approach that other brands should take note of. Ultimately, with features designed for modern urban lifestyles, HMD sets a compelling standard in the wireless audio market.
