    Fast Facts

    1. Delta Emulator Update: The latest version 1.7 of Delta Emulator for iOS introduces online multiplayer for Nintendo DS games, allowing connections via community WFC servers like Wiimmfi and WiiLink.

    2. Cross-Platform Play: iPhone users can now play Nintendo DS games online not only with other iOS users but also with players on Android and console platforms, enhancing the multiplayer experience.

    3. Ease of Use: The emulator simplifies server connection by offering pre-configured WFC server options, making online gameplay more accessible for users.

    4. Future Developments: Additional features are planned, including RetroAchievements, while ongoing updates enhance performance and compatibility for other Nintendo platforms.

iPhone users can now enjoy Nintendo DS games online alongside Android and console players, thanks to a major update to the Delta Emulator. This groundbreaking feature first appeared in beta last year but is now fully accessible to all users through the App Store.

Delta Emulator, built on the MelonDS engine, connects to community Nintendo WFC servers, allowing seamless multiplayer experiences. Users can easily join popular games like Mario Kart DS and Pokemon Black/White. Transitioning from a single-player to a multiplayer experience enhances gameplay, bringing users together in real-time action.

The update includes a selection of pre-configured servers, such as Wiimmfi and WiiLink WFC. iPhone users can simply select a server in the app’s settings, streamlining the connection process that used to be complicated. Moreover, this development puts Apple users on the same playing field as their Android counterparts.

Despite some limitations, such as performance hurdles and the absence of certain platforms like Dreamcast, the popularity of emulation on iOS is rising. Apple’s recent policy changes have facilitated the availability of various emulators, like Delta and RetroArch, directly on the App Store.

In addition to online multiplayer, Delta’s latest update improves performance for N64 games and sets the stage for exciting future features, such as RetroAchievements. As technology evolves, the gaming experience continues to expand, bringing communities closer through shared nostalgia and competition.
