Major Donation Boosts MIT’s Computing College
The MIT Schwarzman College of Computing has announced a significant donation from alumnus Sebastian Man. His generous support will help enhance the college’s new headquarters located on Vassar Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a result of this gift, a prominent space in the building will bear his name.
This donation marks the first major contribution to the college since Stephen A. Schwarzman established it with a foundational gift. Man, who is the chair and CEO of Chung Mei International Holdings Ltd., has a strong commitment to education. He works closely with various academic institutions, including the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Additionally, he engages with community organizations, holding positions on several boards in Hong Kong. Notably, he is also part of the MIT parent community, as his son studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
