Nothing Phone 3 Specs Leak: Big Upgrades Incoming Despite Sub-Flagship Chip

Leaked specifications for the Nothing Phone 3 reveal significant enhancements. While it will not host the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, this device promises a prominent flagship experience.

According to recent reports, the Nothing Phone 3 will feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display. This upgrade stands in stark contrast to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2, which had a 1080p screen. With this new resolution, users can expect sharper visuals and a dynamic refresh rate that enhances viewing.

Camera capabilities also see a major leap. The device might come equipped with a triple-camera setup, each boasting 50MP. This includes a main lens, an ultrawide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto shooter. Compared to the dual-camera design of the Phone 2, this update promises better versatility for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, a 50MP selfie camera could elevate the front-facing experience above the Phone 2’s 32MP option.

Battery life also gets a noticeable improvement. Rumors suggest a 5,150mAh capacity paired with 100W wired charging. If accurate, this would mark a significant increase from the 45W charging found in the Phone 2. The device will also maintain support for wireless and reverse wireless charging, as well as eSIM and NFC options.

The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to ship with Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. Furthermore, the company plans to extend software support to five years for Android updates and seven years for security updates. This commitment surpasses what the Phone 2 offered.

While the transition to a new Glyph Matrix system may not please all fans, the overall upgrades set the stage for a strong market entry. The Nothing Phone 3 is due to launch on July 1 and could redefine what users expect from mid-range smartphones.
