    Fast Facts

    1. Unified Gaming Library: Microsoft is integrating a new aggregated gaming library into the Xbox PC app, allowing users to access games from various platforms like Steam and Battle.net in one location.

    2. Early Access for Insiders: The feature will first be available to Xbox Insiders in the PC Gaming Preview, with broader support planned for additional storefronts in the future.

    3. Seamless Access: Games installed from supported storefronts will auto-populate in the Xbox app’s ‘My Library’ and ‘Most Recent’ lists, streamlining user experience.

    4. Curated Libraries: Users can customize their combined libraries by hiding or including storefronts, enhancing organization and access to their games across platforms.

Xbox PC App to Centralize Game Libraries for Windows Users

Microsoft is set to enhance the Xbox PC app, transforming it into a unified hub for gamers. Soon, users will access their entire gaming libraries from various platforms, such as Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games, in one convenient location.

This feature will debut for Xbox Insiders participating in the PC Gaming Preview. According to Manisha Oza, product manager for Xbox, when players install games from supported storefronts, those titles will automatically populate the "My Library" section. Additionally, the "Most Recent" list will help users quickly launch games.

Gamers often juggle multiple platforms, creating a fragmented experience. This update addresses that issue. Users can curate their libraries, choosing which storefronts to include or exclude. Microsoft aims to support additional game storefronts over time, increasing the app’s versatility.

The rollout coincides with the release of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld devices. By streamlining game access, Microsoft strengthens its position in the competitive gaming sector. The Xbox PC app promises to simplify gaming, creating a cohesive environment for all players.

For those eager to experience these changes, joining the Xbox Insider Program is free. Microsoft aims for a seamless player experience, emphasizing convenience and accessibility. This innovation highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing gaming for everyone.
