    1. Vivo’s X300 Ultra, its first global flagship, emphasizes advanced camera capabilities, collaborating with Zeiss to include a triple prime lens system and a 200MP telephoto sensor.
    2. The phone supports cinematic-style video recording with 4K 120fps, Dolby Vision, and a new pro video mode with real-time log monitoring and compatibility with professional workflows.
    3. It features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor, a 6.82-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate, and a substantial 6,600mAh battery with fast and wireless charging.
    4. Launches are limited to select regions in Asia, Europe, and Brazil, with no confirmed US or UK release or pricing at this time.

Vivo is making waves with its new X300 Ultra, a smartphone designed for videographers and photography enthusiasts. This device aims to set a new standard for mobile filmmaking, especially in smart cities where urban innovation thrives. Although Vivo has yet to announce its US release or pricing, the phone is a significant step forward globally.

The X300 Ultra features a triple prime lens system developed in collaboration with Zeiss. It includes focal lengths equivalent to 85mm, 35mm, and 14mm, with an optional telephoto extender to reach 400mm. The phone’s 200-megapixel telephoto camera and gimbal-grade stabilization improve zoomed-in shots, making filming smooth and clear even at high magnifications. Autofocus tracking works at 60 fps, which is ideal for fast-moving scenes.

Vivo prioritizes cinematic video. All three rear cameras can shoot in 4K at 120 fps with 10-bit log color and Dolby Vision. The phone promises “film-like” colors straight out of the box, but it also supports professional editing formats like 10-bit log video. An upgraded “pro video mode” allows users to monitor footage with custom LUTs in real time, making it easier to produce high-quality videos.

For professionals, Vivo has partnered with SmallRig to develop a comprehensive video-rig kit. It includes a camera cage, cold shoe mounts, handgrips, and physical shutter and zoom controls. A built-in cooling fan helps keep the device stable during extended filming sessions. This combination transforms the X300 Ultra into a portable cinema tool.

Aside from its camera features, the X300 Ultra is a flagship device. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor and sports a 6.82-inch display with a 3,168 x 1,440 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Charging is fast, with 100W wired and 40W wireless options, powered by a 6,600mAh battery.

While Vivo’s new model is available in parts of Europe, Asia, and Brazil, it’s not yet clear when or if the device will reach North America or the UK. Nonetheless, the X300 Ultra’s advanced camera system and video capabilities make it a promising tool for urban creators and smart city innovators, highlighting how technology continues to shape modern urban life.
