In a significant shift, PUBG: Battlegrounds will leave the PS4 and Xbox One behind later this year. On Wednesday, the developer announced that the game will officially transition to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 13.
While the battle royale has been accessible on older consoles, it operated under the technical constraints of previous generations. Consequently, this limited the game’s performance and user experience. However, the upcoming update promises improvements. For example, PS5 players can expect gameplay in 1440p at 60 frames per second (fps). In contrast, the PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X will elevate visuals to 2160p at 60fps and support Dynamic 4K resolution.
