    Top Highlights

    1. Compact power banks now support faster wireless charging with Qi2.2 certification.
    2. The Baseus PicoGo AM52 and Sharge Icemag 3 excel in performance.
    3. iWalk PowerHybrid offers good value, slower speeds, and lower prices.
    4. Wired charging remains more efficient than wireless, with significant capacity differences.

Rapid Advancements in Portable Qi2.2 Batteries

Portable power banks have taken a significant leap forward over the past year. The latest models, certified for Qi2.2, can now wirelessly charge devices like the iPhone 16 at up to 25 watts. Their integration with magnetic systems such as MagSafe makes them essential for on-the-go users. Almost all modern iPhones now support the Qi2 standard, offering impressive charging rates. Older models, starting with the iPhone 12, still manage to charge at 15 watts—adequate for everyday needs.

Android users face a different landscape. Only select models support Qi2. Google’s Pixel 10 series offers some compatibility, while Samsung’s latest Galaxy 26 lineup is “Qi2 Ready,” requiring a magnet case for maximum efficiency. Those investing in portable chargers want reliable speed and functionality, regardless of device brand. After testing seven different models, two emerged as leaders in both performance and price.

    Top Picks for Qi2.2 Charging

The Baseus PicoGo AM52 stands out for its rapid wireless performance. This sleek, low-cost power bank weighs just 196 grams and charges wirelessly at 25 watts. It takes the iPhone 17 Pro Max to 65 percent in an hour and the Pixel 10 Pro XL to 50 percent. Users benefit from both wireless and USB-C charging simultaneously, making it versatile. However, it lacks a built-in display, a drawback for those who want to monitor charge levels easily.

Switching gears, the iWalk PowerHybrid excels in affordability. Priced around $35, it delivers solid performance at 15 watts for wireless charging and manages 30 watts via USB-C. It charged the iPhone 17 Pro Max to 55 percent and the Pixel 10 Pro XL to 46 percent in an hour. Despite its economical design, it suffers from the quirk of needing a manual power button press to activate wireless charging, which might annoy some users.

When considering these options, evaluate what you prioritize: exceptional wireless speed or overall value. The landscape of portable Qi2.2 batteries continues to evolve, securing a place in the daily lives of consumers seeking convenience and efficiency.
