A Fresh Look at Bose’s QuietComfort Headphones

Bose’s QuietComfort headphones are set for a major update after nearly three years. Recent leaks and official-looking images reveal a sleek new design and six vibrant colors. The redesign keeps the familiar folding shape but introduces cleaner surfaces and softer ear cushions. The outside panels now look flatter and less segmented. Bose also added more synthetic leather around the headband and ear cushions for comfort. Physical controls remain, with buttons for playback and Bluetooth pairing. The earcups can still rotate flat for easy storage. These updates suggest Bose aims to combine tradition with modern aesthetics and enhanced comfort.

Bose plans to include several new features with this release. Fans can expect support for lossless audio over USB-C, TrueSpatial audio for a wider soundstage, and new immersion modes for a better listening experience. The headphones will likely have a “QuietControl noise cancellation” feature, possibly giving users adjustable levels of active noise cancelling. Bose promises up to 24 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation, and 18 hours if using spatial audio. The price is set at $359 in the US, close to the 2023 model, with preorders possibly starting soon. This update balances traditional quality with new technology, appealing to both loyal users and new buyers looking for premium sound and style.
