Boox Revamps Palma E Ink Device with Color and 5G Connectivity

Boox recently unveiled two exciting updates in the E Ink device market: the Palma 2 Pro and Note Air5 C. The standout feature of the Palma 2 Pro is its vibrant 6.3-inch color E Ink display, making reading and note-taking more visually engaging. Importantly, it also supports 5G connectivity, allowing users to stay connected without relying solely on Wi-Fi.

This device serves as a healthier alternative to traditional smartphones. Users can access any Android app, providing greater flexibility than competitors like the Kindle Scribe or reMarkable. The Palma 2 Pro also runs on Android 15 and includes the InkSense Plus stylus, enhancing its note-taking capabilities. The addition of A-GPS facilitates basic navigation, reinforcing its role as an improved smartphone replacement.

In parallel, Boox launched the Note Air5 C tablet. This 10.3-inch model builds upon its predecessor, the Note Air4 C. It also operates on Android 15 and features new pogo pins for easy keyboard attachment. This upgrade enables users to type documents more efficiently and opens the possibility for future accessories.

Both devices emphasize versatility and innovation in urban settings. With 5G connectivity and support for various apps, they could enhance productivity in smart cities. Users can now enjoy a more connected lifestyle while minimizing distractions.

The Palma 2 Pro retails for $400, while the Note Air5 C is priced at $530, bundled with a keyboard cover for $607. Customers can place orders now, with shipping set to begin in November.
