    Essential Insights

    1. Samsung has halted the global rollout of the One UI 7 update for its devices due to a serious bug, initially reported by users struggling to unlock their Galaxy S24 phones.

    2. The problematic Android 15-based update started distributing on April 7, 2025, but issues led to an immediate suspension, affecting both Exynos and Snapdragon models worldwide.

    3. Abnormal battery drain has also been reported as a potential problem with the new update, prompting concerns among users with devices already upgraded.

    4. Samsung has not officially acknowledged the pause, which raises worries about the impact on future updates for older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 series.

Breaking: One UI 7 Update Halted Worldwide

Samsung has paused the One UI 7 update globally. This follows its rollout last week, which generated significant excitement. However, problems quickly emerged.

According to reports, a “serious bug” related to phone unlocking prompted the halt. Tipster Ice Universe revealed that users of the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea faced difficulties unlocking their devices. This situation forced Samsung to take preventive action rather than risk widespread issues.

Initial reports suggested the bug was limited to Exynos 2400 models, but later updates clarified concerns extended to Snapdragon-powered variants as well. As a result, Samsung temporarily removed the update from its servers worldwide.

Additionally, users reported abnormal battery drain with the new software. While this news is disappointing for those eager to experience the new features, it underscores the importance of thorough testing before a wide release.

If users already installed One UI 7, they should expect a patch to address these concerns soon. Although the current situation casts a shadow on Samsung’s rollout schedule, the company remains committed to delivering a stable user experience.

Samsung has yet to officially confirm these issues. However, they have the opportunity to demonstrate their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. Tech enthusiasts and Galaxy users alike are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates.
