    Essential Insights

    1. YouTube now allows users to set a zero-minute daily limit for Shorts, effectively preventing the infinite scroll.
    2. The feature is accessed through Settings > Time management, enabling users to control Shorts visibility on the homepage.
    3. While Shorts can be hidden from the main feed, they may still appear in other areas like the Subscriptions feed.
    4. This update offers users more control over their viewing experience, reducing distractions caused by Shorts without impacting overall app functionality.

YouTube has introduced a new feature that gives users more control over Shorts. For the first time, you can set a zero-minute limit, effectively hiding Shorts from your feed. This change comes after many users complained that Shorts cluttered their homepage and distracted from longer videos.

To activate this option, go to Settings and choose Time Management. Then, find the Shorts feed limit and select the zero-minute setting. Once set, the app will stop showing Shorts on the homepage, preventing the endless scroll. Although Shorts may still appear in other sections like your Subscriptions feed, your main feed remains cleaner.

This update is a step toward making YouTube a more personalized experience. It also shows how platforms are listening to user feedback. Many appreciate having the choice to avoid addictive content while still enjoying what they want.

Smart cities rely on innovation and user-focused technology to improve daily life. Just like customizing your YouTube feed, urban technology aims to give residents more control over their environment. When citizens can choose how they engage with digital services, cities become safer, more efficient, and more inclusive.

Overall, this feature highlights a smarter approach to content, balancing entertainment with user preferences. It emphasizes that technology should serve people’s needs while providing flexibility—an idea at the heart of urban innovation and sustainable growth.
