    Top Highlights

    1. Launch of the Uncharted: Subaru introduces the 2026 Uncharted, an electric crossover offering up to 300 miles of range, resembling Toyota’s CH-R EV and powered by the E-TNGA platform.

    2. Powertrain Options: Two versions will be available: a front-wheel drive with 228 hp and 300 miles range, and a dual-motor four-wheel drive with 338 hp, achieving 0-60 mph in under five seconds but slightly lower range (290 miles).

    3. Charging Features: Equipped with a Tesla-style NACS port for Supercharger access, the Uncharted charges from 10-80% in under 30 minutes at 150kW with battery preconditioning.

    4. Pricing and Release: While pricing is not yet disclosed, expectations are around $35,000, positioning it as Subaru’s third electric vehicle after the Solterra and upcoming Trailseeker.

Subaru Unveils Third Electric Vehicle: The Uncharted

Subaru has announced its third electric vehicle, the Uncharted. This new crossover boasts an impressive range of up to 300 miles. It will have two versions available in 2026, both equipped with 74.7 kWh batteries.

The first version features front-wheel drive with 228 horsepower. This model achieves a robust 300 miles of range. In contrast, the dual-motor version offers 338 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds. Although it sacrifices some range at 290 miles, its performance appeals to those seeking power.

Importantly, the Uncharted utilizes the E-TNGA platform, shared with Toyota’s CH-R EV. The design mirrors that of the CH-R, apart from slightly altered headlights and a distinctive front end. Inside, the vehicle offers similarities with a generous center console, including wireless phone charging and a 14-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Uncharted enhances its appeal with a Tesla-style NACS charging port, providing Supercharger access. Although fast charging caps at 150 kW, Subaru claims drivers can charge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes, thanks to battery preconditioning.

Pricing remains undisclosed but is likely to align with the CH-R EV, which starts at around $35,000. The Uncharted joins Subaru’s electric lineup, following the Solterra and the Outback-like Trailseeker, both of which will hit the market next year.

As cities evolve into smarter, more electric-friendly environments, vehicles like the Uncharted will play a pivotal role. They contribute to urban innovation and sustainable living by reducing emissions and expanding travel options, ultimately benefiting commuters in modern cities.
