    Top Highlights

    1. Launch Preparations: SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule for the Ax-4 mission has been delivered to Pad 39A, with a scheduled launch on June 10 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

    2. Crew Details: The mission will be commanded by Peggy Whitson, holding the record for most time in space by an American, alongside a diverse crew from India and Europe, marking a first for their respective countries on the ISS.

    3. Mission Goals: The Ax-4 astronauts will conduct around 60 science experiments during their two weeks at the International Space Station.

    4. Axiom Space’s Progress: Ax-4 is Axiom’s fourth mission to the ISS, following previous missions Ax-1, Ax-2, and Ax-3, all utilizing SpaceX’s technology for transportation.

A brand-new SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule has arrived at the launch pad, gearing up for an exciting astronaut launch. The flight, called Ax-4, is set to lift off on June 10 from NASA’s historic Pad 39A in Florida. SpaceX confirmed this progress on social media, indicating a smooth timeline for the upcoming mission.

This new capsule will transport four astronauts to and from the International Space Station (ISS) for Axiom Space. Notably, Ax-4 marks Axiom’s fourth mission. Peggy Whitson, a former NASA astronaut and current Axiom director, will lead the crew. She holds the American record for the most cumulative time spent in space, at 675 days.

Joining Whitson are pilot Shubhanshu Shukla and mission specialists Sławosz Uznański and Tibor Kapu. This mission is especially significant as it includes astronauts from India and Europe—three countries that have yet to have a presence aboard the ISS. As a result, Ax-4 will break new ground in international collaboration and exploration.

The Ax-4 crew plans to spend two weeks on the ISS, where they will run approximately 60 science experiments. After completing their research, they will return to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean.

Axiom’s previous missions, Ax-1, Ax-2, and Ax-3, successfully launched in the past two years, utilizing SpaceX hardware. This ongoing partnership showcases significant advancements in technology. As commercial space travel expands, missions like Ax-4 highlight the potential for diverse contributions to science and improve our understanding of life beyond Earth.

The future looks bright for space exploration. With each mission, we step closer to understanding our universe while bringing together talents from around the globe.
