    The microwave frying method relies on different microwave frequencies to manipulate cooking conditions. Researchers found that microwave energy can heat food from the inside out instead of just from the surface. This creates internal pressure that limits oil infiltration. By using microwave energy, they can remove moisture more quickly and improve cooking efficiency.

    Takhar and his team combine two techniques for optimal results. Microwave frying creates a crispy exterior, while traditional frying enhances texture. The result? Fries with lower oil content but the same satisfying crunch. Implementing this system into large-scale frying operations could revolutionize food production. Microwave generators can easily integrate into existing equipment, making this method practical for manufacturers.

    Achieving healthier fries without compromising flavor represents a major advance in food science. As technology evolves, so do our options for enjoying beloved foods. The new hybrid frying technology could redefine how we think about fried foods and their impact on health.
