    Fast Facts

    1. Camera Specs Remain Similar: The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain the same camera setup as its predecessors, featuring a 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP selfie camera, with minor sensor updates possible.

    2. Limited Hardware Upgrades: Significant hardware upgrades for the camera are not anticipated, with only tweaks to features likely.

    3. Reduced Weight: The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may be lighter, weighing just 150g compared to the previous model’s 188g.

    4. Awaiting Official Announcement: Further details will be revealed at a presumed Unpacked event in July, but current information is based on leaks.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 Camera Specs Might Look Familiar

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 might not surprise fans with its camera specifications. Reports suggest the new model will feature the same camera setup as its predecessors. It includes a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP selfie camera.

While these numbers feel repetitive, they highlight a reliable choice for smartphone photography. Specifically, the selfie camera received a slight upgrade in the previous model, with improvements to the lens assembly. There, the aperture increased from f/2.4 to f/2.2. Yet, the ultrawide camera has remained unchanged since the original Galaxy Z Flip in 2020.

Despite this familiarity, Samsung may enhance the sensors and introduce minor tweaks to camera features. However, major upgrades don’t appear to be on the horizon for this generation.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could become lighter, dropping from 188g to approximately 150g. This weight reduction may attract new buyers seeking a more portable device.

As anticipation builds for an expected reveal at the July Unpacked event, technology enthusiasts await confirmation of these developments. With smart devices continuing to evolve, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 looks to carry on the legacy of innovation that fans have come to expect from Samsung.
