    Quick Takeaways

    1. Lego has announced new sets featuring the Smart Bricks system at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, all based on the classic Star Wars trilogy.

    2. The upcoming sets include a Millennium Falcon, Landspeeder, Mos Eisley Cantina, Yoda training on Dagobah, and an AT-ST Endor, priced between $40 and $100.

    3. These sets will be released on March 1 and include compatible Smart Tags and Minifigures, but do not include Smart Bricks, which must be purchased separately.

    4. The Smart Bricks charge wirelessly and activate sounds and lights when near the sets, adding an interactive element to the Lego experience.

    Lego Expands Smart Brick Universe

Lego is set to release more Smart Brick-compatible sets this March 1. At the recent Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany, the company announced new additions based on the classic Star Wars trilogy. These new sets include iconic structures like the Millennium Falcon, Mos Eisley Cantina, and Landspeeder. Additionally, fans can look forward to a Yoda training set on Dagobah and an AT-ST Endor set. Prices for these sets range from $40 to $100.

However, these new sets don’t include the necessary Smart Bricks. To enjoy the full experience, users must purchase one of the initial sets, which come with the self-contained, sensor-studded Smart Bricks. These bricks wirelessly charge and activate sounds and lights when placed nearby. Alternatively, Lego may sell the Smart Bricks separately in the future.

    Enhancing Play with Technology

The Smart Play system aims to elevate Lego playtime by adding interactive elements. Each set features Smart Tags and Minifigures, enhancing the connected experience. While there’s a learning curve, early reviews indicate that the technology delivers surprising delight. Enthusiasts are eager to see how these sets integrate, especially considering they launch simultaneously. As excitement builds, fans should prepare to save up for these engaging new experiences.
