About 21 other companies are also supporting this effort. These include venture capital firms and accelerators. They want to connect South Korea’s blockchain scene with global markets.
The program lasts three months. Applications open from April 1 to May 6. After applying, 12 teams will advance to a main competition from May 4 to May 13. The final event will be on June 25 in Seoul. Both individuals and teams can apply. Before the contest, organizers will hold online sessions on technology and market trends. An offline meeting is scheduled for April 22.
During the program, teams will receive various supports. These include business consulting and blockchain mentoring. They will also get help with legal issues and investment opportunities. Teams can join the Seoul Fintech Lab residency program too. A special community, called Milgram, will share learning materials and advice. Participants will learn about regulations, expand their networks, and get personalized guidance. Main round teams will even receive help to attract investment.
Prizes total up to 32 million KRW ($21,390). The top team will earn 5 million KRW ($3,340). Second and third place will get 3 million KRW ($2,000) and 2 million KRW ($1,330), respectively. Partners will also give out special awards and legal services. XRPL Korea also plans to link participants to grants worth up to $200,000. This program provides a solid platform for Korean startups to innovate with blockchain technology and possibly solve real-world challenges.
