    Essential Insights

    1. Google Slides now allows users to select and resize multiple objects simultaneously, ensuring proportional scaling for a streamlined editing experience.
    2. Enhanced object selection features enable users to easily identify and select specific items within overlapping layers, thanks to visible outlines upon hover.
    3. These updates are set to roll out gradually and will be available to all users, including Google Workspace and personal account holders.
    4. The new features will only function in edit mode, not during presentations, optimizing the design process within Google Slides.

Google has just made a significant improvement to Google Slides that will benefit users greatly. The company announced an easier way to resize objects uniformly. Now, you can select and resize multiple objects at once, which allows for proportional scaling. This change eliminates the hassle of adjusting each item individually.

Furthermore, the process of selecting specific objects in layered slides has also become simpler. Users will notice an outline when hovering over overlapping objects. This outline helps identify which object will be selected, making navigation more intuitive.

These updates, while seemingly minor, promise to enhance the overall user experience. Google plans to roll out these features in stages over the upcoming weeks. All users, including those with personal accounts and Google Workspace customers, will have access.

Keep in mind that these features are available only in edit mode. Users will not be able to use them while presenting. However, the proportional scaling applies to both groups of objects and multiple selections, significantly improving your workflow in Google Slides.
