    Summary Points

    1. The iPhone 17E is Apple’s affordable entry-level model at $599, featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display, 256GB storage, and a single 48MP rear camera, but lacks features like Dynamic Island and Camera Control.
    2. It is powered by the A19 chip with a 4,005mAh battery offering around 26 hours of video playback, and supports MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging.
    3. Compared to other models, the 17E has a lower refresh rate (60Hz), a simpler design without the Dynamic Island, and only one front selfie camera (12MP without Center Stage).
    4. Upgrades over the previous 16E include doubled storage (256GB), MagSafe compatibility, and a faster processor, but it remains a more basic alternative within the iPhone 17 lineup.

    Design, Display, and Camera Features

The new iPhone 17E offers an affordable entry into Apple’s latest lineup, starting at $599. It features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, which is less smooth than the 120Hz screens on higher-end models. In contrast, the iPhone 17 and Air have larger screens, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.5 inches respectively, with the Air also offering a higher refresh rate. The iPhone 17 Pro Max boasts an even bigger 6.9-inch display. When it comes to cameras, the 17E has a single 48-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel selfie camera, lacking advanced features like Center Stage. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 and Air include similar 48-megapixel main cameras but add the ultrawide option, and the Pro models provide an extra telephoto lens for more versatile photography. Although the 17E is somewhat basic, it still delivers solid photo quality and durability, thanks to its Ceramic Shield and aluminum frame.

    Performance, Storage, and Battery Life

All models in the lineup run on the latest A19 chip, with the 17E sporting a quad-core GPU, while the other models feature a more powerful five-core GPU. The 17E starts with 256GB of storage—double that of last year’s 16E—and up to 512GB is available. The Pro and Pro Max come with options up to 1TB, ideal for heavy users. Battery-wise, the 17E is powered by a 4,005-mAh cell, which offers approximately 26 hours of video playback, slightly more than the 17 and Air. Despite its lower refresh rate and simplicity, the 17E benefits from efficient power management, ensuring good battery life. It also includes MagSafe compatibility, enabling easy wireless charging up to 15 watts. For those upgrading, the 17E provides notable improvements over previous entry-level models and fits well into a smart-city lifestyle by balancing performance, affordability, and future-ready features.
