    Fast Facts

    1. Europe should produce AI, not just consume it: Huang sees robotics, AI agents, and data centers as foundations of Europe’s AI economy.
    2. AI infrastructure, faster: Nvidia’s modular DSX Pod aims to bring data centers online in 14 days instead of months or years.
    3. Robotics is the next big opportunity: Nvidia announced a robotics platform and Agile One reference robot, alongside AV partnerships with VW and Mercedes.
    4. AI agents mean more computing demand: Huang expects companies to use both open and closed models, while agents drive greater use of software—and Nvidia GPUs.

Europe’s AI Ambition Gets a Container

At Nvidia’s GTC event in Berlin, CEO Jensen Huang pitched a future built on AI, robots and modular data centers. His central point: Europe should produce AI, not merely use it.

Nvidia’s proposed DSX Pod packs computing equipment into a preassembled container. Huang says companies could bring one online in 14 days, rather than wait months or years to build a conventional data center. That speed could help Europe, where infrastructure projects often move slowly. But a faster build does not settle questions about power supply, cost or environmental impact.

From Software to the Physical World

Huang sees robotics as a major opportunity for Europe, citing its manufacturing base. Nvidia plans a robotics platform and a reference robot called Agile One, which it expects to make available in the first quarter of next year. It also announced self-driving vehicle partnerships with Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz.

The shift extends beyond robots and cars. Telecom companies are adding Nvidia GPUs to cell towers, while AI agents can use software tools and handle multistep tasks. Huang predicts that companies will rely on both open and closed AI models. In practice, organizations will need to weigh customization, control and cost.

Adoption Depends on More Than Speed

The pitch reflects a broader change in AI: demand for computing keeps rising as models reason, use tools and generate more output. Nvidia stands to benefit. Yet its vision also depends on reliable energy, investment and public acceptance.

That tension surfaced in Berlin when Greenpeace protesters challenged the company’s environmental record. Huang asked security to go easy as they left. Europe may have the skills and industrial base to build AI infrastructure. Whether it can do so sustainably—and put the systems to useful work—will shape how far this vision goes.
