    Fast Facts

    1. Humanoid’s HMND 01 robot successfully performed autonomous logistics tasks at Siemens’ factory, meeting key performance metrics such as 60 tote moves/hour and over 90% success rate.
    2. The integration of NVIDIA’s full physical AI stack accelerated development from 18-24 months to just 7 months, enabling real-time perception and decision-making in industrial robots.
    3. Siemens’ Xcelerator ecosystem provides essential industrial connectivity, enabling humanoid robots to operate collaboratively within smart manufacturing environments.
    4. The partnership demonstrates that factory-ready humanoid robots, capable of complex tasks and adaptive behavior, are now viable for real-world industrial deployment.

Humanoid Robots Make Their Way into Factories

Siemens and Humanoid have taken a big step toward using physical AI on factory floors. They introduced the HMND 01 Alpha, a humanoid robot built with NVIDIA technology. This robot was tested at Siemens’ electronics factory in Erlangen, Germany. It performed tasks that included moving totes and working alongside human workers. The robot met key goals, such as handling 60 totes an hour and working for over eight hours without issues. This move shows how robots with AI can help improve factory productivity.

Innovations Powering the Future of Manufacturing

Physical AI allows robots to see, think, and act in the real world. To do this well in factories, a robust system is needed. Siemens supplies this core with its Xcelerator portfolio, which connects digital models, AI perception, and control systems. This connectivity helps robots work smoothly with other machines and human workers. Meanwhile, Humanoid uses NVIDIA’s AI tools to develop faster and smarter robots. NVIDIA’s software improves robot training, design, and performance, cutting development time from nearly two years to just seven months. Together, these advances prove that humanoid robots are finally ready to work in real industrial settings, making manufacturing more efficient and adaptive.
