ZachXBT Links Teen to $19 Million Crypto Theft Network

Social Media Reveals Wealth and Crime Ties

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has uncovered connections between a young crypto enthusiast and a large-scale theft operation. Dritan Kapllani Jr., a US-based teen, often flaunted his luxury lifestyle online. His social media showed images of expensive cars, designer watches, and private jets. ZachXBT says these posts were more than bragging; they linked Dritan to illegal activities. The investigator found evidence suggesting that Dritan used social media to communicate with others involved in crypto thefts. This pattern of behavior raises questions about how young people might be involved in criminal networks.

Link to Major Bitcoin Theft and Money Laundering

ZachXBT traced a specific Ethereum wallet shown during a Discord call. The wallet held about $3.68 million at that time. The investigator linked this wallet to a theft of 185 Bitcoin, worth roughly $13 million, in March 2026. Dritan’s wallet received over $5.3 million from this theft. By the time of the call, nearly $1.6 million had been spent or laundered. ZachXBT also connected Dritan to an earlier case involving stolen funds from the US government. The wallet used in that case was exposed in a Telegram post. The investigator states Dritan avoided criminal charges because he was a minor until recently turning 18. Meanwhile, US authorities have filed a criminal complaint against an alleged co-conspirator linked to the theft.
